The Ngee-Ann Kongsi Library (TNAK) organised the bi-annual E-Resource Day on 12 January 2023 to raise awareness of how databases can benefit student and staff with their research. Held in the Sports Hall of SIT@Dover Campus, over 200 students participated in the bingo card activity by visiting the 12 physical and virtual booths to learn about e-resource databases.

By participating in the activities, students learned about which databases and loanable media equipment were useful to their course and independent learning. Students also could learn about exciting initiatives like the Ed!bles urban farming, which allows students to grow their own food. It was launched in collaboration with Food, Chemical and Biotechnology (FCB) faculty.

At the SIT Library booth, students could also use Virtual Reality (VR) goggles to experience a game developed by CoLEAD, Health & Social Sciences (HSS), and Dementia.SG. Players could experience how a dementia patient views the world in with different environment settings.

The SITizen Ambassadors (SAms) and Library Media and Information Ninjas also helped ensure the success of the event by helping out as emcees, ushers and facilitating the booth activities.
