Learning Object Repository @ xSiTe

About LOR

The Learning Object Repository (LOR) is an online library that allows instructors to store, manage, and share learning resources (learning objects). A learning object can be a SCORM package, quiz, video, or any other file integral to creating comprehensive course content and learning materials for online education.

Integrated within our Learning Management System - xSiTe, the LOR serves as a dynamic hub, enabling instructors to not only publish their unique learning objects but also discover, reuse, and repurpose learning objects across various courses and disciplines.

Benefits of LOR

1. Saving Efforts

  • You can reuse or repurpose existing learning objects created by yourself or other users easily.
  • The learning objects can be updated dynamically. If you added an object to more than one course, any changes made to the object will update all courses simultaneously.

2. Seamless Integration with xSiTe

  • The LOR is available within xSiTe. You can seamlessly search and reuse learning objects in the LOR for building out lessons, modules, and courses.

3. Easily Searchable

  • Learning objects can be tagged with metadata, making them easily searchable for reuse.

4. Promoting Sharing

  • It is secure and easy to share your learning objects in LOR that may benefit other users who are building similar contents.
