APA Citation Style 7th Ed. (other styles too)

This LibGuide is based on the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th edition, of which the Library has 2 copies. If you do not find the information you need in this LibGuide, please consult the APA Manual.

Please Note: sometimes the APA citation style guidelines can be open to interpretation. Our advice in the interests of consistency, therefore, is to pick ONE guide and use it in conjunction with the APA style manual. Don't use multiple guides from multiple universities.

Plagiarism

When producing a piece of written work, we need to make sure that our readers know which parts are our own work, and which parts are the work of others. The accepted way of doing this is to use a citation style like the APA style, for example.

Not to use a citation style and therefore not to attribute the work of others correctly, is to commit PLAGIARISM which is a serious offense, especially in the academic world.
