O' Reilly's Learning Platform for Higher Education is a database comprising more than 30,000 e-book titles, 5,000 continually updated videos, case studies, assessments, learning paths and other tools that enable students to build knowledge and learn critical skills.

O'Reilly's Playlist

Playlist lets you read, watch or listen to O'Reilly resources that you have curated. Creating a playlist not only makes it easy for you to return to any item you might be reading or watching; it also allows you to share your list with fellow SIT friends. The playlists are also fully synced across all devices (web or mobile).

 

Creating a Playlist

  1. Select "Playlists" from the left navigation. That will take you to the Playlists page.
  2. Click the red "Create Playlist" button in the upper right corner.

  3. Add a name and optional description of your playlist.
  4. Once you’ve created a playlist, you can add to it by using the Playlists icon as you’re engaging with content, anywhere across O’Reilly
  5. From this page, you can also choose to edit the details of an existing playlist, delete a playlist, or reorder and remove titles from your playlists

 


Sharing a Playlist

  1. Select the "Share Settings" option from your playlist
  2. Copy the URL for your playlist and share in the way that works best for you.
  3. Use the generator to generate a persistent URL link to the playlist
  4. Once you set a playlist to "Shared," anyone in SIT with the URL can access and follow it.
  5. Please note that non SIT member will be able to access the playlist

O'Reilly Mobile App

The O'Reilly database is accessible via your mobile phone. iPhone users can download the app from their App store while android users can down it from their Google Play Store.

 

1. Once you have downloaded the app onto your mobile phone, you will see a screen that looks like that below. Click Sign In

 

2. Input your SIT email address xxxx@sit.singaporetech.edu.sg / xxx@singaporetech.edu.sg and click Sign in.

 

3. See "I'm with Singapore Institute of Technology", then select Sign in with SSO.

 

4. Select Continue for the message "O'Reilly Want to Use "oreilly.com" to Sign In".

 

5. Sign in with your SIT credential.
