Sustainable development is about meeting the needs we have now, but ensuring at the same time that future generations will be able to meet their own needs. With this in mind, our approach to both teaching and learning at SIT should always consider the implications of sustainability. In 2015, the Member States of the United Nations (UN) adopted 17 goals as part of a call to "end poverty, protect the planet and improve the lives and prospects of everyone, everywhere" over the next 15 years (The Sustainable Development Agenda).
