Inter-governmental organizations (IGOs) have an important role in advancing the implementation of sustainable development at both the regional and international levels. Singapore is an active member of the ASEAN Working Group on Sustainable Development Goals Indicators (WGSDGI), which monitors and reviews the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) indicators in ASEAN. During Singapore's tenure as chair of the WGSDGI in 2020-2021, the inaugural ASEAN SDG Indicators Baseline Report 2020 was released along with the launch of the Online Database for ASEAN SDG Indicators in October 2020. This was followed by the 2022 ASEAN SDG Snapshot Report.
